With excitement, GESS’ BeyondClassrooms programme has secured its second international accolade. Following our 2023 CASE Circle of Excellence Awards, we were honoured in September 2024 with the EducatePlus Excellence Awards, in the Alumni or Community Impact category. This prestigious recognition highlights the programme’s exceptional role in connecting students with real-world learning opportunities beyond traditional classroom walls, offering them unique experiences that prepare them for their future careers.

The BeyondClassrooms Programme, which partners corporations & organisations, is designed to give GESS students a deeper understanding of industries and professions through internships, site visits, expert talks, workshops, career support and performance opportunities. These experiences are invaluable in fostering growth, curiosity, and a sense of global citizenship among our students.

As we celebrate this award, we are also excited to introduce new partners who onboarded our network in the past months, expanding the scope and reach of BeyondClassrooms even farther.

Brunel, a workforce and project solutions company, will participate in the annual Grade 11 Career Information Exchange event, offer mock interviews for students, and share career-related insights through career talks.

German Centre German Centre Singapore will be providing our students with invaluable industry talks, organising site visits, offering internship opportunities, and participating in career information exchange events.

LBBW (Landesbank Baden-Württemberg) – A leading German financial institution, LBBW will provide GESS students with insights into the world of finance and banking, offering internships and expert talks from industry professionals.

Bosch Rexroth – A global leader in drive and control technologies, Bosch Rexroth’s involvement will give our students exposure to cutting-edge technologies and innovative engineering practices through site visits and hands-on workshops.

Alba Berlin and ALBA Group Asia – known for their excellence in basketball and sustainability – support our students through visits to ALBA’s recycling facilities, exciting sustainability lectures, participation in the Basketball & Culture Camp in Berlin and individual support for talented basketball players.

We are proud of how the BeyondClassrooms programme continues to grow and provide meaningful opportunities for our students. These partnerships will further enhance our ability to offer a diverse array of learning experiences. We look forward to the incredible contributions these new partners will bring to our vibrant community

What’s Next?

To further develop the BeyondClassrooms programme, we plan to introduce additional innovation initiatives, enhance our career support offerings, and place greater emphasis on service learning, to enrich our students’ overall BeyondClassrooms experience.

With these and more in the pipeline, BeyondClassrooms stays committed to providing a holistic education, equipping students with the skills, knowledge, and values needed for the future.

Together, we are shaping the future, one experience at a time!
