We are thrilled to share with you the latest updates on one of our transformative initiatives at GESS – the BeyondClassrooms programme.
What is BeyondClassrooms?
The BeyondClassrooms programme at GESS is a comprehensive approach to education that seeks to extend learning beyond the traditional classroom settings. While academics are an essential aspect of a student’s development, we recognize the importance of supplementing theoretical knowledge with practical experiences that foster creativity, critical thinking, and a deep understanding of the world around us. Currently, we have about 20 partners who have been offering unique BeyondClassrooms Opportunities for our students in the last academic year.
The GESS BeyondClassrooms Programme won a Silver Medal in the Student Engagement category awarded by the Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE). GESS was awarded among the 4000 applications received from 21 countries. We are incredibly proud of our innovative and impactful BeyondClassrooms Programme, which has been recognised for its commitment to engaging students and providing enriching experiences beyond traditional classroom settings. This achievement is a testament to its transformative impact on our students.
Additionally, GESS has been selected as a finalist for the prestigious 2023 SICC Awards by the Singapore International Chamber of Commerce (SICC). This nomination was submitted with four of our partners, BMW Group Asia, Siemens, BluCurrent, and Goodwins Law, who represent the overall programme across industry profile, size and nationality. We are truly grateful for this nomination, as it validates our commitment to enabling limitless learning opportunities for our students. We extend our heartfelt appreciation for our BeyondClassrooms partners’ contributions and look forward to the award ceremony at the end of October 2023.
